Playing in the Past - Badge Days at Barberville Pioneer Settlement

Calling all Juniors! Come and take a trip back in time as you have fun with these hands on activities and learn all about Pioneer times and what girls did back in the late 1800's to early 1900's. Activities may include but are not limited to: Making a Lassie Cake, mixing butter, learn about bees and honey, explore the woodshop, schoolhouse and play a game that girls played in the past! Girls are welcome to come dressed up. Part of the badge is to research and create a costume which should be done before the event. After the program spend time on a self guided scavenger hunt exploring the Pioneer Settlement.

Everyone needs to bring a packed lunch and drinks. Coolers can be kept in cars until the break.

Program Starts at 10:00 am and will end after the self guided tour in the afternoon (Facility closes at 4pm)

Check in 15 minutes prior to event start.Program will start on time.

Everyone needs to wear closed toed shoes and bring a water bottle

All attendees must be registered. Please ensure the proper adult/girl ratio is followed for this event. Please no tagalongs. Space is limited.

Check weather and dress accordingly. Activities are inside and outdoors. (There will be a considerable amount of walking around the settlement)
