What types of activities are not approved for Girl Scouts?

In general, when activities involve unpredictable safety variables, they are not recommended as Girl Scout program activities. These include but are not limited to: 

  • Bungee Jumping
  • Flying in small private planes, helicopters or blimps
  • Go-Carting
  • Hang gliding
  • Hot air ballooning
  • Hunting
  • Motor biking
  • Parachuting
  • Parasailing
  • Riding all-terrain vehicles
  • Riding motorized personal watercraft such as jet skis
  • Skydiving
  • Stunt skiing
  • Outdoor trampolining
  • Zorbing

In addition to these general activities, please also be mindful to check the Approved Vendor list for a complete list of all vendors that have been approved (or not approved) to host Girl Scout activities.
